Rosmarinus officinalis, commonly known as rosemary, is a
woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and
white, pink, purple, or blue flowers, native to the Mediterranean
region. Rosemary belongs to the Lamiaceae, commonly known as the mint family.
Rosemary grows to a height and spread of 3 feet. Pale blue flowers
bloom in spring to early summer. The needle-shaped evergreen leaves are
highly aromatic.
