Salvia Sclarea is a native to southern Europe and is a
stout biennial herb that grows up to 1 meter tall with large, hairy
leaves and small blue / white flowers growing directly off the long, thin
stem.
It is cultivated for oil production in France, Russia, north Africa and Central Asia. A tall stately herb both cultivated and found in the wild, Clary Sage is a native of Italy and Syria, preferring the dry, sunny climate of the Mediterranean region.
